Location: New York NY
Type: Contract
Shift: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM (12-hour night shifts)
Schedule: Every other weekend and some holidays required

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Registered Nurse Pediatric Emergency Departmentfor an exciting job in New York NY.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and provide evidence-based pediatric emergency care
Apply formal triage training to effectively prioritize patient needs
Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Accurately document patient care in the EMR system (EPIC preferred)
Maintain compliance with hospital policies infection control and patient safety standards

Qualifications

Active New York State RN license (required)
Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric emergency department experience in an acute care hospital of similar size and scope
Pediatric triage training (required)
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN) certification (required)
Current BLS certification (required; must be eligible for recertification)
Prior Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center experience (highly desired)
Experience with EPIC EMR (preferred)
Strong communication teamwork and critical-thinking skills
