Summary:
An established power systems and marine/industrial services company is looking to hire a Vice President of Finance to manage financial planning & analysis accounting operations and business unit finance for multiple locations in their organization. The company provides engine maintenance repair and overhaul services across the marine energy industrial and defense sectors nationwide.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee company-wide processes for financial planning budgeting forecasting and performance reporting.
* Maintain the integrity of financial statements - including P&L and balance sheet.
* Ensure compliance with GAAP and consistent execution of monthly and quarterly close processes.
* Support EBITDA growth and enhance working capital through disciplined cost control and effective capital allocation.
* Build and optimize financial infrastructure including reporting systems performance dashboards key metrics (KPIs) and internal control frameworks.
* Prepare and present clear data-driven financial reports and insights to the CFO CEO Board of Directors and private equity stakeholders.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations Sales and Service teams to ensure financial strategy aligns with business goals.
* Manage external relationships with banks lenders and auditors ensuring ongoing compliance and audit readiness.
* Lead financial due diligence valuation modeling and integration planning for mergers and acquisitions.
* Coach and develop finance team members promoting a high-performance culture centered on accountability and results.
Qualifications:
* Open to 50% travel to Fort Lauderdale Seattle Denver
* Executive-level leadership experience (VP/CFO) and enterprise leadership experience (not consulting) for private equity-backed companies ($500m) not as a Controller or Director
* Merger and acquisition (M&A) experience as an executive listed above (VP/CFO)
* Financial planning & analysis (FP&A) experience as an executive listed above (VP/CFO)
* Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or Business Administration is required.
* Background working within private equity-backed companies or dynamic high-growth startup environments industrial or marine experience preferred.
* Track record of driving improvements in EBITDA cash flow management and enhancing the accuracy of financial reporting.
* In-depth understanding of GAAP principles and internal control practices.
* Advanced expertise in financial modeling forecasting and the development of key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Proficient in ERP and business intelligence tools such as Infor Syteline Microsoft Dynamics Power BI or comparable systems.
* Ability to work remotely initially with the willingness and commitment to relocate to one of our primary hubs in Washington Florida or Colorado; relocation support will be provided.
Preferred:
* MBA or CPA certification.
* Prior experience in Marine Power Generation Defense or Industrial/Manufacturing Services.
* Practical experience in mergers and acquisitions integration processes and financial transformation initiatives
* Knowledge of project accounting principles ASC 606 revenue recognition standards or compliance requirements within defense contracting
