The Womens Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth a MAGNET and Texas 10-Step facility has previously been named Best Place to Have a Baby and is a Maternal Level IV designated facility
Work hours: Full Time Nights (6:45PM-7:15AM) for 36 hours/week withWeekend and holiday requirements plus some call-requirements

18-bed LDRs 5-bay OB/ED 5 triage rooms 3 OR suites
Average 275 deliveries per month
Wide range of patients and plan of care nitrous oxide Midwifery and high-risk patients.
Heres What You Need
Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required
BSN is preferred
CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
One (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) or completion of an RN residency program required.
One (1) year or more of Labor & Delivery RN experience strongly preferred
BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required
NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days Required
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift inter-hospital and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
