Job Title: Registered Dental Assistant (PRN / As Needed)
Location: Hopkins MN 55343
Duration: 4 Years (PRN assignment as needed based on business needs)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dental Assistant to join our clinical team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. This role supports dental practitioners by delivering high-quality patient care assisting with procedures and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary instruments and supplies are ready.
Welcome seat and comfort patients before and during procedures.
Assist dentists during procedures by sterilizing and passing instruments suctioning and positioning equipment.
Prepare mix and place dental materials as directed.
Take and process radiographs pour/trim study casts and polish casts as needed.
Fabricate temporary restorations and clean/polish removable appliances.
Assist with managing dental/medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification emergency supplies and updated contact lists.
Provide patients with education on oral hygiene plaque control and post-treatment care.
Accurately chart and document services provided.
Maintain compliance with infection control standards and safety protocols.
Safeguard patient confidentiality and privacy.
Stay current with dental practices through continuing education and professional development.
Support team operations and contribute to overall practice success by completing additional tasks as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
Certifications & Licensure:
CPR Certification (required)
X-ray Certification (required)
Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) preferred
