Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) 35 Years Dublin / Hybrid Permanent

About the Client

Our client a leading digital acceleration company provides next-generation technology solutions across industries including banking insurance retail healthcare and manufacturing. They focus on driving innovation and delivering scalable high-performing systems.

About the Role

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong experience in Apache Kafka and Axon Framework. You will design build and maintain resilient event-driven systems automate processes and manage cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and manage Apache Kafka: configure topics manage partitions monitor metrics troubleshoot issues.

  • Design and maintain event-driven systems using Axon Framework with CQRS/ES patterns.

  • Work with other messaging platforms such as NATS or MQ as needed.

  • Build automation scripts and integrations using Python Go Java or Bash.

  • Manage Linux/Unix systems and cloud infrastructure (AWS GCP Azure) with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

  • Implement observability (Prometheus Grafana Splunk Datadog) and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

  • Apply security best practices and compliance standards (SOC 2 GDPR).

Qualifications:

  • 35 years of hands-on experience in software development SRE or systems administration.

  • Proven experience in Apache Kafka and Axon Framework.

  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration cloud platforms and automation.

  • Familiarity with networking observability and security practices.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be based in Ireland or have a valid work permit for Dublin.
