Job Summary
Nurse Supervisor (Contract Role)
Location: Beverly MA 01915
Duration: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
Weekly Pay Rate: $3600 - $3840; (Negotiable based on experience)
Shift: Rotating
- 3 shifts/week: 12-hour (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
- 3 shifts/week: 4-hour (3:00 PM 7:00 PM)
Job Description:
The Nurse Supervisor provides both clinical and administrative leadership during assigned shifts. This role supports the nursing staff and ensures continuity of care in the absence of the Nurse Manager and other nursing leadership. The supervisor acts as a resource problem-solver and decision-maker to maintain patient safety and quality of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for nursing staff during assigned shifts.
- Support coordination of patient care activities across departments.
- Respond to urgent clinical or staffing concerns.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in clinical rounds and promote best practices.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels in collaboration with the staffing office.
- Provide guidance coaching and support to nurses and other clinical staff.
- Escalate significant concerns to leadership when appropriate.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum of 3 years recent clinical nursing experience required
- BSN required (or currently in progress)
Licenses & Certifications:
- Current Massachusetts RN license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Required
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Preferred
