Job Description

Registered Nurse Cath Lab (Long-Term Assignment)

Location: Saint Joseph Medical Center (SJOMO) Missouri
Department: Cardiac Catheterization Lab
Assignment Dates: October 6 2025 January 4 2026
Schedule: 7:30 AM 5:00 PM On-Call Required
Positions Open: 1

Position Overview

The Cath Lab RN provides specialized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures. This role requires critical thinking acute care experience and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-acuity procedural environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct patient care during cardiac catheterization and related procedures.

  • Communicate continuously with physicians regarding patient condition and procedure progress.

  • Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data throughout procedures.

  • Accurately document assessments interventions and patient outcomes.

  • Assess procedure room readiness and maintain equipment and inventory.

  • Ensure all supplies and resources are prepared for each case.

  • Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

  • Active RN license (Missouri or Compact State) required.

  • Current BLS (AHA) required.

  • Current ACLS certification required upon start and must be maintained.

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab or Critical Care setting required.
