Job Description
Duration of engagement: 30 months
Location: Albany NY (ONSITE for 1st 4 months then up to 40% remote work possible per Mgr.)
Targeted start: 10/23/2025
Day-To-Day Tasks:
Candidate will assist with all phases of the SDLC related to new development as well as maintenance of assigned areas:
Participate in requirements gathering
Analysis and design
Coding and unit/integration testing.
Create/update program specifications and detail design documents.
Research and fix production issues.
Assist with application performance tuning.
Mentor other programming staff.
Software Developer: DTF Modernization program
Is involved with all facets of the software development process including the research design programming testing and implementation of computer software.
Expert 84 Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
- 84 months of COBOL programming experience in an IBM Mainframe Environment utilizing TSO.
- 84 months of MVS JCL experience.
- 84 months of IBM DB2 experience for z/OS working with databases.
- 48 months experience with IBM MQ Series.
- 60 months of system analysis and design experience for multi-tiered transactional systems.
- 84 months of experience writing technical design specification documents for multifaceted component bases systems.
