Tasks
- Offer meaningful companionship and conversation in Farsi to help alleviate isolation and support mental well-being
- Support the client with light activities emotional reassurance and safety monitoring
- Foster a calm nurturing environment appropriate for a senior living with dementia
- Maintain open communication with the family regarding any concerns or changes in the clients condition
- Encourage participation in simple engaging tasks that promote dignity and cognitive engagement
Requirements
- Fluent in Farsi (spoken)
- PSW Certification preferred but not required for experienced companion caregivers
- Experience with dementia care highly desirable
- Kind patient and professional demeanor
- Comfortable working independently in a home setting
- COVID-19 vaccination not required
- Must be available for a family-led interview
Work Schedule:
- 23 times per week 3-hour shifts (schedule to be arranged with the family)
