Job Summary

Onsite Interview Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Java Backend Engineer with deep expertise in JUnit testing frameworks to join our team supporting client in New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing scalable backend systems writing robust unit tests and mentoring junior developers. This role demands a high level of technical proficiency leadership and a passion for clean testable code.

Key Responsibilities:

Design develop and maintain high-performance backend systems using Java 8.
Lead the development and implementation of JUnit-based unit testing strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features.
Ensure code quality through rigorous testing code reviews and best practices.
Optimize application performance and scalability.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to architectural decisions.
Work closely with DevOps and QA teams to ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

14 16 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.
Expert-level proficiency in JUnit and other testing frameworks (Mockito TestNG).
Strong understanding of Spring Boot RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MongoDB).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitLab CI etc.).
Solid grasp of design patterns OOP principles and clean code practices.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in financial services or payment systems.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS GCP or Azure).
Exposure to Kafka Docker and Kubernetes.
Masters degree in Computer Science or related field is a plus.
