Must Have Skills of the Corrective Action Specialist:
#1. Strong knowledge of AS9100 standards critical for processing corrective actions and ensuring compliance with aerospace quality systems.
#2. Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and 8D problem-solving tools essential for effective corrective action implementation and customer satisfaction.
#3. Analytical and critical thinking skills necessary to identify problems quickly determine root causes and implement lasting solutions.
#4. Attention to detail vital for monitoring production quality maintaining QMS and ensuring adherence to quality protocols.
#5. Aerospace quality assurance experience preferably in a build-to-print manufacturing environment highly desired to understand industry-specific quality challenges.
Requirements for the Corrective Action Specialist:
Essential Job Requirements (MINIMUM):
- Responsible for processing all corrective actions and 8D RCCAs per AS9100 and customer standards with the expectation that RCCAs to customer be accepted first time every time.
- Actively works with operation departments to effectively reduce internal scrap and rework.
- Will regularly monitor production to ensure quality of parts manufactured as well as ensure operators are following quality protocols.
- Responsible for conforming to the companys quality system procedures as documented as well as maintenance of QMS.
- Works closely with suppliers and customers to ensure quality satisfaction is maintained by collecting feedback.
- Provide regular training to employees updating their knowledge related to quality standards and BMS processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Aerospace quality assurance experience is highly desired preferably in a build-to-print manufacturing environment.
- Auditing experience resulting in corrective action and review and acceptance of completed RCCA.
- Demonstration of proper tool applications to support root cause such as 8D problem solving 5 Why Six-Sigma DMAIC and other Operational Excellence Tools.
Required Skills:
- Analytical skills need to be able to spot problems quickly and find the underlying causes so changes can be made
- Critical thinking once problems are identified solutions and improvements must be found. This might involve thinking about a process procedure or problem in a completely new way.
- Attention to detail as the people responsible for the creation and implementation of quality systems as well as the people who notice and report on problems every detail must be noticed and acted upon when necessary
- Numerical skills statistical analysis can be a big part of a quality engineering role
- Communications skills strong written and verbal communication skills are key. Must be able to relay potentially complex ideas to a wide range of audiences both in personal consultations but also through company quality documentation
- Team working skills working as part of the quality team and in close coordination with other teams throughout the manufacturing facility (as well as potential for interaction with suppliers and customers) is a key part of quality engineering
- AS91000 Knowledge -must have a strong knowledge regarding quality standards prescribed by AS9100.
Other Key Requirements:
- 100% onsite in-office role.
