Job Description
Echocardiograph Technologist at our Newberg Medical Center in Newberg OR
Part-Time/Day Shift
$4000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by the hospital that begin on your first day of employment.
Performs cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physicians orders utilizing a variety of complex ultrasound equipment. Objectively identifies the presence of or absence of disease utilizing a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Assists physicians with more invasive echocardiography examinations including but not limited to Transesophageal echocardiography Trans-catheter echo guided procedures (location specific) pericardiocentesis echo guided myocardial biopsies (location specific) contrast enhanced exams exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiography. Has the ability to modify procedures to meet special circumstances and/or provide clinically useful information on a cost-effective basis. Will comply with the standards set forth by the American Society of Echocardiography and departmental policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:
Upon hire: Oregon Sonographer.
Upon hire: National Registered Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International. Or
Upon hire: National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International. Or
Upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates Degree Applied Science from a CAAHPE accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
1 year Experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations OR Minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities available.
Pediatric echocardiography experience.
Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices).
Experience with echo guided trans-catheter procedures. (St. Vincent Medical Center).
