Summary:
-
Learn entry-level technical skills regulatory requirements and proper tool usage in the Cabinet Finish Shop under direct supervision.
-
Develop foundational knowledge and problem-solving abilities in preparation for advancement to technician level.
-
Gain proficiency in furniture finish preparation using standard safety procedures design/engineering drawings and materials such as sandpaper polishes adhesives solvents and masking mediums.
-
Use the material tracking system to create part demands track squawks and sign off completed work.
-
Follow all safety 5S and housekeeping policies.
-
Use personal protective equipment and assist in ensuring protection of the aircraft interior.
-
Support the development and implementation of related safety and efficiency initiatives.
Requirements:
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
Experience in woodworking wood finishing or auto body and painting in a technical environment
-
Completion of a Technical Certificate in cabinetmaking preferred
-
Youth apprenticeship program completion in the current year in a related field preferred
-
Ability to read write speak and understand English
-
Ability to climb ladders and stairs work in confined spaces lift up to 40 pounds and work any assigned shift

Must be computer literate

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
