We are looking for a Buying Merchandising Intern to join LYKE EXPORTS a leading textiles company. As a Buying Merchandising Intern you will play a crucial role in supporting the buying and merchandising team in various projects. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the textiles industry and contribute to the companys success.
As a Buying Merchandising Intern at LYKE EXPORTS you will assist in sourcing new products analyzing market trends and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods. You will be involved in product development pricing strategies and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. This role is essential in driving the companys buying decisions and optimizing the merchandising process for maximum efficiency and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing new products and suppliers.
- Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to identify opportunities.
- Coordinate with vendors to negotiate pricing and terms.
- Support the team in product development and assortment planning.
- Monitor inventory levels and track order shipments.
- Assist in B2B merchandising.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless merchandising processes.
- Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking to drive strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
- Pursuing a degree in Business Fashion Merchandising or related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for the textiles industry and willingness to learn.
Previous internship experience in buying or merchandising is a plus.
