Job Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Driver to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating company vehicles to transport goods and materials to various locations. This is a full-time permanent position with competitive compensation and benefits. Key Responsibilities: - Safely operate company vehicles including trucks vans and cars to transport goods and materials to designated locations - Plan and follow the most efficient route to ensure timely delivery of goods - Load and unload goods and materials onto vehicles ensuring proper handling and secure packaging - Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition - Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to the appropriate personnel - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating company vehicles - Maintain accurate records of goods and materials transported as well as mileage and fuel usage - Provide excellent customer service to clients and maintain a professional demeanor at all times - Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management team Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Valid drivers license and a clean driving record - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a professional driver - Knowledge of local and national traffic laws and regulations - Excellent driving skills and a strong safety record - Ability to lift and move heavy items - Strong customer service and communication skills - Attention to detail and ability to follow directions - Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings - Familiarity with GPS and other navigation systems - Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records If you are a reliable and experienced driver looking for a new opportunity with a reputable company we encourage you to apply for this position.
