Job Summary

Position: Commercial Estimator
Salary Range: $1500 - $2000
Work hours: EST
PH candidates

Key Responsibilities:

Perform detailed and accurate quantity take-offs for materials and labor for Division 9 (Drywall acoustical ceilings insulation painting etc.) scopes of work.
Analyze and interpret construction documents including blueprints specifications and project manuals.
Utilize estimating software (e.g. On-Screen Takeoff Planswift Bluebeam) to complete take-offs and build estimates. On-screen Takeoff experience is considered a plus
Collaborate with project managers clients and subcontractors to understand project requirements and scope.
Source and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids.
Prepare and submit professional and well-organized bid proposals.
Identify potential project risks and opportunities and communicate them to the project team.
Maintain an organized and up-to-date database of project estimates subcontractor bids and supplier pricing.
Stay current with industry trends material costs and new technologies in Divisions 9.
Participate in pre-bid meetings as needed.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Commercial Estimator with a strong focus on Division 9 and take-offs.
Solid understanding of commercial construction processes materials and methods.
Proficiency in estimating and take-off software (e.g. On-Screen Takeoff Planswift Bluebeam etc.).
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
Degree/experience in structural engineering a plus
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and engineering plans and specifications.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
