Overview
MalaceHR is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to support operations at a leading-edge semiconductor facility. This role involves maintaining and repairing advanced HVAC systems in a highly controlled critical environment. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise proactive problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety and reliability.
Key Responsibilities

Follow strict critical environment protocols while performing preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on HVAC systems with focus on chillers boilers cooling towers and air handling units.

Operate and monitor building automation systems (BAS) to ensure HVAC performance and efficiency.

Conduct routine equipment inspections troubleshoot system issues and minimize downtime in critical operations.
-
Document all work in the CMMS system with detailed notes updates and escalations as required.

Participate in safety and team meetings contributing to the development of maintenance schedules procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
-
Ensure safety compliance by completing hazard assessments maintaining clean work areas and adhering to HVAC codes and regulatory training requirements.
-
Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 80 lbs working at heights (up to 30 feet) and operating in confined spaces.
-
Provide on-call support as needed for emergency HVAC issues to maintain uninterrupted facility operations.
Technical Skills
Must Have
-
Proven expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting industrial cooling towers boilers chillers and process water systems.

Specific preference for Cleaver Brooks Boiler and Trane Chiller experience.
-
Six (6) years of technical HVAC experience with at least four (4) years in critical or industrial environments.
Nice to Have
-
Experience with building automation systems used in semiconductor facilities.
-
Background in energy efficiency optimization for industrial HVAC systems.
-
Knowledge of electrical systems and their interaction with HVAC equipment.
-
Strong understanding of semiconductor water quality requirements.
Qualifications
-
Strong knowledge of chillers boilers steam systems and cooling towers.
-
Proficiency with BAS and CMMS systems.
-
Ability to read schematics technical manuals and follow strict safety protocols.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.
-
Flexibility to transition to 2nd shift schedule and support rotating weekends.
