Location: Bradenton FL 34201
Shift: 12 HR Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med Surg/Orthopedic team. This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment. You will be responsible for providing direct patient care including assessment planning implementation and evaluation of patient care in both the Med Surg and Orthopedic units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Med Surg and Orthopedic settings.
- Administer medications treatments and procedures as ordered by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs physical condition and emotional well-being.
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care pain management and recovery goals.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care and progress in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Respond to patient needs promptly and professionally.
- Adhere to hospital policies procedures and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- 1 year of acute care experience in an RN role.
- Experience in Orthopedic nursing including pre- and post-operative care.
- BLS certification.
- Preferred:
- Experience in a hospital setting; however candidates with LTACH home health or rehab experience will be considered.
