RN- Med-Surg (Permanent Role)

Location: Palatka FL 32177
Shift: 12-hr Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: (Negotiable based on experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical unit on a permanent basis. This role offers a stable night shift schedule with guaranteed weekly hours. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the nursing process.
• Monitor record and report symptoms or changes in patients conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to assess plan implement or evaluate patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
• Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate detailed reports and records.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies and nursing procedures.
• Respond to emergency situations using appropriate critical thinking skills.

Qualifications:

• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida.
• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of Acute Care Med-Surg RN experience is required.
• Certifications:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Additional certifications (e.g. ACLS PALS) are a plus.
