Client is seeking a family law attorney to join our Seattle team. We are a client-focused firm dedicated to high-quality legal advocacy and we foster a supportive and collaborative workplace for our attorneys and staff.
Position Overview: The attorney will handle a caseload of family law matters including dissolutions custody parenting plans support and related issues. This role requires strong litigation negotiation and client management skills as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Successful candidates will work on the frontline of our litigation team to achieve the objectives of our clients. Applicants must have a strong bias towards action and proactivity and must be willing to ask questions at all times.
Responsibilities & Core Job Functions
- Manage case strategy and litigation particularly in in King Snohomish and Peirce Counties.
- Coordinate competing deadlines and communicate with varied stakeholders.
- Argue cases and take hearings before a court of law.
- Conduct detailed and varied legal research and advise clients of probable outcomes.
- Be highly responsive to internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare for mediations trials depositions hearings and negotiations.
- Manage a team of paralegals and support staff.
- Bill at least 6 hours per business day and meet other productivity targets as assigned.
- Manage high volumes of tasks and projects.
- React with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require a quick response or turnaround.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years experience in Family Law litigation in Washington State.
- Washington Bar admission in good standing.
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience with the Clio practice management ecosystem.
- Experience managing a high volume of requests and competing deadlines.
- Strong desire and aptitude for process improvements.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience collaborating with a decentralized organization on Microsoft Teams.
We Would be Particularly Happy With:
- Financial or other bookkeeping experience;
- Knowledge of business anti-fraud analytics or investigative experience;
- Undergraduate degree in business or economics.

Competitive Compensation of $120k $200k. Pay will vary based on prior experience.
