Description:
This entry-level position assists with commercial security system installation and commissioning ensuring that all
systems and components are designed installed tested operated and maintained according to the operational
requirements of the customer. The right candidate will work well with others take ownership be a team player
and act with integrity. This position reports to the local Supervisor and takes direction from a mentor and Lead
Technician.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the commissioning of new security systems on customer sites.
Document commissioning details; communicate deficiencies and progress.
Assist with testing and inspecting of existing security systems.
Plan work with mentor Lead Technician and Team Leader.
Complete commissioning within planned timelines.
Submit accurate time and expense logs.
Work overtime when needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree preferred
Proven electro-mechanical aptitude (based on previous experience and/or education) and user
PC/software skill
Basic knowledge of network communications components
Basic knowledge of workstation and server operating system management
Ability to read and understand design and construction documents
Must be able to differentiate types/colors of wire
Must be able to use hand tools laptop email smartphone and tablet
Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel and Outlook)
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States
Must possess a valid drivers license with limited violations
Is there a pre-test of any kind needed in accordance with interviews No
If there is flexibility in accepting candidates above the max rate recommended in the requisition A little flexibility.
Will the candidate be required to travel No
Will candidate be working at a Siemens Client site or remote Both the Siemens and the client site which is about 25 minutes from Siemens office
Is the position temporary or temp to perm Just looking for temporary but if the right person comes along we may look to go permanent.
