We are seeking Uzbek Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Uzbek is a critical Central Asian language frequently needed in asylum and immigration proceedings.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time Uzbek English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews hearings and official proceedings.
Interpret accurately neutrally and with cultural competency in immigration and legal contexts.
Adhere to USCIS/DHS confidentiality and compliance standards.
Manage both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge requests.
Participate in training compliance refreshers and quality assurance audits.

Qualifications

Native or near-native fluency in Uzbek and English.
2 years of professional interpreting experience (immigration legal medical or government preferred).
Familiarity with interpreter ethics confidentiality and cultural awareness.
Strong telephone communication and accuracy under pressure.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
