Major Account Manager Telecom & Service Providers - Milan

Role Overview

We are currently seeking a dynamic Major Account Manager Telecom & Service Providers to contribute to the success of our rapidly growing business.

You would act as the key Account Manager for strategic Telecom and Service Provider accounts across Italy. Depending on the individual experience and strengths the portfolio may include Tier 1 accounts or a mix of Tier 2/3 accounts with high growth potential.

** The ideal candidate will be based in Milan or in the North of Italy **

As a Major Account Manager you will:

  • Lead direct sales engagements with assigned Telecom and Service Provider accounts
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to expand Fortinets footprint across the service provider landscape
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision-makers and influencers
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver compelling proposals RFI/RFP responses and Statements of Work
  • Negotiate business terms that foster long-term partnerships and mutual success
  • Generate and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities through to closure
  • Accurately forecast business and consistently achieve quarterly sales quotas
  • Represent Fortinet with credibility and insight addressing client challenges with a solutions-oriented approach

We Are Looking For:

An insightful and influential collaborator to join our team. We encourage you to apply for this position if you have the following qualities:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in sales to major accounts with at least 5 years focused on Telecom or Service Provider clients
  • Proven success in selling network security solutions with consistent quota achievement and career stability
  • Strong understanding of Telecom architectures terminology and business dynamics
  • Demonstrated ability to close complex deals and navigate long sales cycles
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A proactive self-motivated mindset with resilience and adaptability in fast-paced environments
  • Based in Rome or surrounding areas with flexibility to travel across Italy as needed
