Could you be the full-time onsite EHS Engineer in Riyadh Saudi Arabia were looking for
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive EHS expertise in a new cutting-edge field. Youll work alongside dedicated and resourceful teammates. Youll contribute significantly to creating a safe and healthy work environment for our people and subcontractors in Riyadh KSA. Day-to-day youll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering Operations Site Management) ensuring environmental and occupational health and safety performance aligns with Alstom standards and much more.
Well look to you for:
Supporting Site Management in achieving Health and Safety results
Cooperating with internal resources to achieve Health and Safety objectives
Supporting the EHS Site Manager on EHS Risk Assessment and controlling risks
Assisting in the preparation implementation and maintenance of emergency plans
Coordinating and controlling activities with respect to Health and Safety especially where interfaces with other contractors or operation areas are involved
Providing support and advice to site personnel to prevent injury damage to plant and equipment and ensuring environmental protection
Recognizing best practices and good performance and issuing warnings for infractions involving violations of regulations and Alstom Standards
Advising site personnel on all aspects of Health and Safety applicable to site activities
Developing the Site EHS Management System in alignment with Alstom Standards and international standards
Capturing reporting recording investigating and analyzing accidents/incidents to take corrective and preventive actions

Degree in Engineering or a related field
Experience or understanding of environmental health and safety (EHS) practices and regulations
Knowledge of risk assessment and auditing processes
Familiarity with international HSE standards such as IOSH ISO 45001 OSHA etc.
A Health & Safety qualification recognized by the enforcing authorities in the country of operation
Strong leadership and relationship-building skills
Ability to work collaboratively in an international and multidisciplinary team
Technical skills for reporting such as proficiency in Microsoft Applications
Working knowledge of local languages; proficiency in English or French is advantageous
Experience in the railway sector is a plus
