We are hiring Mandarin Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. This role provides real-time telephonic interpretation between Mandarin and English during immigration interviews hearings and related proceedings.

Responsibilities

Provide accurate and impartial Mandarin English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers applicants and stakeholders.
Interpret in immigration legal and administrative contexts while maintaining confidentiality.
Adhere to USCIS/DHS security and compliance protocols.
Handle scheduled assignments as well as urgent requests.
Participate in training and quality assurance reviews.

Qualifications

Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English.
2 years of professional interpreting experience (immigration legal medical or government preferred).
Familiarity with interpreter ethics and standards (NCIHC ATA or RID).
Strong communication skills and ability to remain accurate under pressure.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
