Job Description:
Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor (A220 Sign-Off) to join our Final Assembly Line based in Mobile AL.
As part of the FAL Manufacturing Engineering (Methods) Management team the M.E. Supervisor will assist in coordinating all activities related to the M.E. (Methods) Sign-Off Team and ensure that actions are launched in order to support the FAL Business Units (NCR documentation technical analysis work order creation industrial means work preparation OSW analysis configuration and line balancing).
Manage and Lead the FAL Sign-off Technical Planning department. Manage and coordinate all Sign-off activities related to the secondary flow non-conformities process by the multifunctional team: Engineering Methods Work and Material Planning and Quality. Identifies critical points launches actions and does the follow up until closure. Manage the M.E. (Method) and Sign-Off Technical Planning teams priorities according to the FAL milestones.
He/she will have a strong ability to guide the M.E. team to ensure proper training (Poly-Poly) and technical assistance to all team members. He/she will drive Airbus Leadership Model good attitude and work morale to his/her team members. The incumbent will be responsible for the M.E. (Methods) team for flowline which includes strong knowledge in aircraft structure electrical assembly and power-on activities. Establish and maintain effective communication with the FAL production.

Your challenges:
Primary Responsibilities:
Plan and co-coordinate the Sign-off process for all the non-conformities (Secondary flow) in the FAL (Flowline and Customer Line).
Manage and coordinate the multifunctional team for the Sign-off process for all the non-conformities (Secondary flow) in the FAL (Flowline and Customer Line).
Guide one team of engineers to provide proper and timely resolutions to ensure On Time/On Quality of business unit goals.
Drive the engineering team to provide clear and accurate communication on all topics.
Attend management level meets for business unit topics and provide technical assistance when needed.
Ensure the engineering team has proper and continuous training to meet team growth goals.
Track and ensure KPIs meet programs yearly goals.
Responsible for all managerial duties of direct reports.
Work in a very dynamic integrated product development team (IPDT) involving all technical and production functions where you will drive to put forward optimal solutions for major aircraft structures suitable for the latest manufacturing technologies and processes.
Coordinate the manufacturing support for the integrated product development teams reporting to the Engineering supervisor.
Provide input and lead the processes between the department and the external stakeholders and ensure to provide an excellent service to the customers.
Work as part of an integrated team to ensure program visibility.
Optimize processes.
Ensure AOS deliverable.
Master the aircraft manufacturing techniques the industrial processes industrial planning organization around the product and the associated procedures.
Prevention and elimination of disturbances in the manufacturing process and monitoring the interfaces between the FAL and Suppliers.
Respect the planned budgets incl. the performance of gain of productivity.
Manage and integrate the activities performed in FAL by Airbus CoEs.
Ensure consistency of operations and products in the SA Program by regular exchange of best practices with other Airbus FALs.
Preserve a high standard of technical knowledge among the workforce in a context of mobility turn-over and integration of new operators.
Ensure fulfillment of legal and airworthiness requirements to ensure Operation such as demonstration of compliance for the maintenance of the POA.
Contribute to enhancing the corporate image by ensuring the FAL environment standard is high and continuously improved.

Your boarding pass:
Must have a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering Electrical Engineering Engineering Technology or similar combination of education and experience.
6 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Engineering Quality and/or Production departments.
Successful in managing technical projects to ensure optimal industrialization of a product.
Possess excellent leadership skills.
Demonstrate good judgment flexibility you are results oriented able to work under minimum supervision and you observe tight delivery deadlines.
Possess knowledge in aircraft structure assembly electrical assembly and aircraft functional testing.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Frequently travel abroad for work and training.
Physical Requirements:
Vision: Adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings the giving of directions and other business interactions.
Hearing: Able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings. Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.
Speaking: Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.
Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment. Working on jigs at the fuselage at a height of 15 feet. Able to work on hydraulic lifts sometimes at a height of up to 40 feet.
Carrying: Able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg while engaging in training addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects.
Lifting: Able to occasionally lift up to 20lbs/9kg.
Pushing/Pulling: Able to push/pull items in office areas.
Sitting: Able to sit for extended periods of time at the computer and in meetings.
Squatting/Kneeling: Able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves. Able to work outside hangers in changing locations. Able to work on movable lifts at the aircraft at a height of approximately 40 ft. Sometimes may work in a ventilated fuel tank with a mask in a confined space. Able to enter through a 9.8 by 17.7 inch oval opening.
Standing: Able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information.
Travel: Able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time.
Walking: Able to walk through office and production areas around flightline and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces.
