Description

We are currently seeking a skilled NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physicians Assistant) specializing in this role you will play a crucial part in providing advanced care to newborns in need of specialized medical attention. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well-being and health of these young patients making a significant impact on their lives and families. You will be involved in a variety of neonatal projects collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting physical assessments and examinations of newborns in the neonatal unit.
  • Developing and implementing care plans for premature or ill infants.
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and procedures.
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Providing education and support to families on neonatal care and procedures.
  • Collaborating with neonatologists nurses and other healthcare professionals in the neonatal team.
  • Monitoring and documenting patient progress and medical records accurately.
  • Participating in rounds conferences and case reviews to discuss patient care strategies.

Requirements:

  • Valid NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physicians Assistant) license.
  • Specialization or certification in Neonatology.
  • Strong knowledge of neonatal care practices and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong critical thinking abilities.
  • Capability to make quick and accurate decisions in emergency situations.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Level III NICU

Schedule: Friday-Monday 3p-7a

Duties: Intubations central line placement peripheral arterial lines attend high-risk deliveries and ground and air transports

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
