About the role.

McCain Foods (Canada) is seeking a Temporary General Operator to join our Fry Plant facility in Grand Falls NB. Please note this position is physically demanding and requires working 12-hour rotating shifts on a 4-on 4-off basis (2 days 2 nights). This position operates in a fast-paced dynamic and noisy environment that demands a high level of alertness and adaptability. The role involves regular walking standing bending and lifting items up to 35 to 40lbs. Applicants should be comfortable working amid substantial sensory input and able to maintain focus and productivity during extended shifts. The ideal candidate will be dependable demonstrate a strong work ethic and possess the ability to work safely and efficiently as part of a team in a busy manufacturing environment.

What youll be doing.

• Responsible for ensuring safety of self and co-workers.
• Material handling of 19 kg boxes and bags.
• Responsible for following change over policy and requirements.
• Responsible for some sanitation duties
• Trouble shoot adjust and maintain equipment as required.
• Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Critical Control Points (CCPs).
• Ensure SQCDPE targets are met by understanding and goal setting of KPIs.
• Follow JHAs and work safely. Participate in STEP program (Behavioral safety observations)
• Dealing with production issues working in a fast-paced team environment
• Participate in Team meetings as required.
• Complete core curriculum E-learning courses
• All additional duties as they become assigned.

What youll need to be successful.

• Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule including nights weekends and holidays.
• Basic computer skills would be an asset.
• Ability to work well with plant supervision and production employees.
• Team player with excellent attendance.
• Must have good mathematical skills and complete production forms accurately and neatly.
• Demonstrate continuous initiative and involvement.
• Highly motivated observant with good initiative and a positive attitude.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment adapting to and embracing change as it occurs.

• Lift truck operator skills are an asset to replace the packaging and cold storage lift truck operator. Must be willing to learn and operate a Lift Truck as needed.

• Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must possess a good safety record and demonstrate safety first on a continual basis.

Compensation Package:$ -$ Starting at22.24 CAD hourly Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience skill set education and training and other organizational needs.
