ESPO was created over 40 years ago and provides a valuable service to public sector organisations who support our communities throughout the UK. Our customers include education providers NHS charities housing associations and local government and any profit is reinvested back into local communities.
About the Role
ESPO maintains a fleet of over 40 vehicles from 3.5 tonne to 13 tonne GVW (as well as using contract transport) to deliver goods. The Delivery Driver is normally responsible for one of the LGV vehicles.
ESPO drivers provide a contact point for customers; therefore it is essential that they promote the Consortium image by being helpful and courteous at all times and of smart appearance. Drivers have a general responsibility to operate at all times in accord with the statutory requirements and good practice of Road Transport Operation.
This role is a Safety Critical Post and consequently subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with our policies and procedures. If successful in being appointed to the role you will be required to agree to a planned test and achieve a negative result as part of any conditional offer of employment and/or during your probationary period. A copy of our Substance Misuse Policy and Procedure is available upon request.
