Job Summary:
This role is for a Cath Lab Technician responsible for providing technical support during cardiac catheterization procedures in an acute care hospital setting. The technician will perform a variety of tasks including equipment setup assisting with procedures monitoring patients and maintaining a sterile environment. The position requires experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures and proficiency in various cardiac-related skills. On-call responsibilities are required.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Setting up and maintaining equipment.
- Monitoring patients vital signs and hemodynamic parameters.
- Recognizing and responding to life-threatening arrhythmias.
- Maintaining sterile technique and adhering to infection control protocols.
- Performing cardiac implant closure device procedures.
- Performing cardiac stent placement procedures.
- Performing diagnostic catheterizations (adult left heart right heart).
- Performing IABP placement/removal.
- Performing percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA).
- Performing rotablator atherectomy.
- Performing scrub procedures.
- Interpreting dysrhythmias.
- Charting in Cerner.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a diagnostic or interventional cardiac cath lab.
- ACLS BLS ARRT and RCIS certifications.
- Experience with cardiac catheterization procedures (as listed in the job description).
- Proficiency in equipment setup and sterile technique.
- Ability to recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias.
- Knowledge of isolation precautions.
- Experience with Cerner.
- Active license.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- More than 1 year of experience.
Special Considerations:
- On-call responsibilities are required including rotating weekday and weekend call.
- Guaranteed hours are subject to a clause where the client can cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without penalty. Additional cancellations will be billed. On-call shifts in lieu of cancellation count as cancelled shifts.
- Maximum of 5 days of RTO (return to office) restrictions.
- Must have experience in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath labs.
- Experience with middle and older adult patients.
Scheduling:
- 3 twelve-hour day shifts (6:30 AM - 6:00 PM).
- Will work 2-3 weekends per contract.
- Schedule requests can be discussed with the manager.
