Job Summary:
This temporary-to-hire Medical Assistant position supports a cardiology clinic providing clinical and administrative assistance. Responsibilities include patient care chart preparation telephone triage authorization forms and some travel to satellite clinics. The position requires experience with electronic health records (EHR) and reliable personal transportation.
Location: Seattle Washington United States
Responsibilities:
- Patient care including taking vital signs assisting with procedures and providing general support.
- Chart preparation and maintenance.
- Telephone triage and handling patient inquiries.
- Processing authorization forms.
- Performing administrative tasks such as refills and inbasket help.
- Travel to satellite clinics within the Seattle area (Edmonds Ballard Redmond Bellevue).
Required Skills & Certifications:
- At least 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant (Cardiology experience preferred but primary care experience will be considered).
- Experience with EPIC EHR system.
- BLS certification.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Reliable personal transportation; public transportation is not acceptable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with a team.
- Active Medical Assistant license (MA-C preferred MA-R considered).
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in a cardiology clinic setting.
Special Considerations:
- Temporary-to-hire position with a 13-week contract.
- Day shift (0830-1700 Monday-Friday).
- Potential for up to one unscheduled day off per two-week pay period.
- Willingness to float between clinics within the same skillset.
- Travel to satellite clinics is required. Candidates must have reliable personal transportation.
- Relocation to Seattle is required for non-local candidates if the position converts to permanent.
Scheduling:
- 5 eight-hour days per week Monday-Friday.
