Job Summary:
This role is for a Respiratory Diagnostics Specialist focusing on neonatal and adult critical care. The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care in a fast-paced environment floating between the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Responsibilities include patient assessments medication administration treatment planning and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Prior experience in both NICU and Adult ICU settings is required.

Responsibilities:
- Providing skilled nursing care to neonates and adult patients in critical care settings.
- Performing patient assessments medication administration and treatment planning.
- Collaborating with physicians respiratory therapists and other members of the healthcare team.
- Monitoring patient vital signs administering oxygen therapy and managing ventilators.
- Documenting patient care accurately and completely.
- Floating between NICU and Adult ICU as needed.
- Participating in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning.
- Responding to emergency situations and providing appropriate interventions.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a hospital setting.
- At least one year of experience in a Level 2 or higher NICU.
- Experience in Adult ICU (Neuro Trauma ICU preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Clinical assessment medication administration and treatment planning skills.
- Interdisciplinary team collaboration skills.
- Current BLS certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing or related field.
Special Considerations:
- Day shift position (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM).
- Weekend rotation required (every other weekend per CBA).
- Floating between NICU and Adult ICU is required.
- No on-call requirements.
- Patient ratios will be determined per RT matrix.
Scheduling:
- Day shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM.
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend.
- Block scheduling is not required.
