Job Title:Automation & Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description:

Position Overview:The Automation & Maintenance Supervisor will oversee a team of Robotic technicians Mechanics Electricians and Toolmakers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) robotics and will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of Robot Technicians Mechanics Electricians and Toolmakers.
Oversee emergency breakdown repairs with the automation & maintenance teams to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed safely efficiently and in compliance with company policies and regulations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLCs and robotic systems.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Monitor and maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Foster a positive work environment and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar role.
Strong knowledge of PLCs and robotic systems.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of accountability and a positive attitude.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Education and Experience:

College diploma or university degree in a technical field (e.g. Mechanical Electrical Industrial). or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance supervision preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs troubleshooting and equipment repair.
Experience leading and managing skilled trades and maintenance technicians.
Excellent communication organizational and problem-solving skills.
