Job Summary

The M&A Analyst will build extensive financial modeling and conduct research on prospective targets prepare in-depth valuation analysis and create customized partner presentations for the V.P of M&A Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of our private equity sponsor. This role will also analyze past financial performance to predict future performance and to advise the company on its acquisition strategy. This position is designed to provide upward mobility opportunities for self-driven highly motivated individuals who value teamwork and technology in a strongly private equity backed healthcare setting within a forward-thinking company.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes operational and financial data (Income Statements Balance Sheets Bank Statements Tax Statements etc.) to create detailed company-specific analysis.
  • Creates pro-forma valuation models based on analysis to support the M&A deal structuring and decision-making process.
  • Produces thoughtful valuation analysis decks for executive review and decision making.
  • Evaluates prospective capital expenditures and depreciation of potential targets.
  • Contributes to all phases of the financial and operational due diligence process.
  • Supports the development and execution of strategic partnerships and joint ventures.
  • Assists with integration planning for acquired businesses.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

  • Required Skills/Abilities:

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required as well as extensive PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as it relates to financial analysis and EBITDA projections.
  • Thorough understanding of project management.
  • Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Economics or related field required.
  • The M&A Analyst should have 2-3 years of prior experience as an investment banking analyst or other corporate development role contain very strong analytical skills and have been exposed to the structure and execution of prior M&A transactions.
  • Healthcare experience is a strong benefit.

Working Environment & Physical Requirements

Working conditions include those typically seen in an office environment. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
