Location: Panama City FL 32401

Shift: 12-hr Day / Night Rotate

Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)

Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Lab Technician to join our team in Panama City this role you will be responsible for performing a variety of clinical laboratory tests in areas including chemistry hematology urinalysis and immunology. You will play a critical role in supporting patient care by delivering accurate and timely test results to providers and nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform technical laboratory procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines.
Conduct tests in various disciplines including chemistry hematology urinalysis and immunology.
Report test results promptly alerting providers or nurses of abnormal findings per clinic procedures.
Ensure proper specimen collection labeling and documentation to maintain sample integrity and traceability.
Maintain accurate and thorough records of all laboratory tests and procedures.
Set up calibrate clean and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment.
Monitor quality control processes and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain inventory of lab supplies and ensure a clean organized and safe laboratory environment.

Qualifications:

Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associates Degree or higher in a related field preferred
Licensure/Certification:
- Current Florida Medical Laboratory Technician License OR proof of license application (licensure must be in process)
- Certification as MLT (ASCP) CPT or AMT required
Experience:
- Prior experience in a medical laboratory setting preferred
- Willing to train candidates with applicable experience even if formal lab experience is limited
