Job Summary
The Role:
Xtract Research is seeking a leveraged finance lawyer to join our team as a Senior Covenant this role you will write reports that summarize and analyze material terms in high yield bond offering memos and/or credit agreements related to leveraged loans. You will also answer questions from our clients hedge funds asset managers banks and law firms.
Attention to detail issue spotting clear concise writing skills and the ability to make legalese understandable for non-lawyers are all important skills for this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Write research reports on leveraged loan covenants.
- Write event-driven research and reports on special situations as they develop in the market.
- Write research for our growing library of covenant primers
- Write market leading reports that set the conversation on new trends and market developments.
- Answer client questions.
- Meet tight deadlines for publication.
Required Skills Qualifications and Experience
- Finance lawyer with extensive experience drafting negotiating and reviewing leveraged finance documentation including credit agreements and/or indentures.
- 4 years of Big Law experience in leveraged finance.
- Deep understanding of the leveraged finance market and how covenants and financial definitions work in leveraged finance documents.
Estimated Salary Range
- The estimated salary range is $250000 - $290000. Salary is negotiable depending on experience and skills.
