The Work Itself:
The Senior ML Engineer as a part of our Generative AI team will play a multifaceted role in the design development and deployment of our Large Language Model (LLM) applications. Key responsibilities will include creating applications based on the Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) framework developing efficient inferencing algorithms and fine-tuning the LLM to cater to various applications.
This role will also involve leveraging various machine learning stacks to enhance system efficiency researching new techniques to advance our LLM applications and collaborating with cross-functional teams within the addition the engineer will be responsible for documenting processes and workflows and sharing insights with the team.
This position requires a solid understanding of AI and machine learning principles robust problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with project team members (Product Managers Architects Analysts Software Engineers Project Managers etc.) to ensure development and implementation of new data driven business solutions.
- Drive development effort End-to-End for on-time delivery of high quality solutions that conform to requirements conform to the architectural vision and comply with all applicable standards. Responsibilities span all phases of solution development including:
- Collaborate with senior technical staff and PM to identify document plan contingency track and manage risks and issues until all are resolved
- Present technical solutions capabilities considerations and features in business terms. Effectively communicate status issues and risks in a precise and timely manner.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications:
3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD)
Exposure to leading-edge areas such as Machine Learning Big Data Distributed Systems or SRE.
Experience in at least one of the following: Python Golang Java or C/C
Familiarity with web service standards and related patterns (REST gRPC)
Experience implementing solutions for low-latency distributed services using open standard technologies.
Additional Information :
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $130700.00 to $184440.00 to per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge skills experience and addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical Dental Vision 401 (k) FSA/HSA Life Insurance Paid Time Off and Wellness Program.
