The BMS Software Design Release Engineer is responsible for developing advanced automotive battery packs from initial design concept through full-volume production. This role manages the release and system integration of the BMS Software on xHEV vehicle architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional requirements teams to decompose BMS software requirements aligned with vehicle-level functional objectives
Coordinate SW planning requirements decomposition integration and validation with internal and external stakeholders to meet program milestones
Lead BMS SW CDR reviews internally and with suppliers
Deliver program outputs on schedule aligned with development milestones
Lead PDT meetings with suppliers and stakeholders to manage track and resolve issues
Oversee BMS change management (CCD CN IAA PER)
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Computer Engineering
5 years of relevant experience
Understanding of Energy Storage Systems and Vehicle Electrification
Familiarity with electrification architectures (EV HEV PHEV BSG)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated and highly driven
Basic understanding of DVP&R and DFMEA
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
5 years of vehicle electrification engineering experience
Advanced automotive battery design and testing background
Experience with electrification integration or release (EES Calibration Controls)
Product Design and Release experience
Requirements definition and management expertise
Change control and issue management tracking experience
