About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong finance background to join our team for a strategic initiative focused on automating external financial disclosure reporting. This role is critical in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and the technology team ensuring the successful delivery of a robust compliant and scalable reporting automation product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with finance risk and compliance stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements for external financial reporting.
- Develop comprehensive Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) and Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) aligned with regulatory and disclosure standards.
- Translate complex financial reporting needs into clear actionable technical requirements for the development team.
- Lead and coordinate Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) and Data Validation activities to ensure solution accuracy and completeness.
- Support cutover planning data migration validation and go-live deployment activities.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in financial reporting ensuring alignment with accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Provide post-deployment support and issue resolution during the stabilization phase.
Qualifications :
Required Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) and/or MBA in Finance from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the finance domain with a strong focus on external financial reporting.
- Proven track record of delivering at least two end-to-end projects involving financial disclosure automation or similar regulatory reporting solutions.
- Deep understanding of financial statements disclosures and regulatory reporting requirements (e.g. IFRS GAAP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis reconciliation and validation techniques.
- Familiarity with financial systems data warehouses and reporting tools is a plus.
- Strong Finance Domain Knowledge
- Should be able to write FSD ( Functional Specification Document)
- Effective Communicator and team player.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of financial data modelling and automation tools.
- Exposure to cloud-based reporting platforms or enterprise finance systems (e.g. Oracle SAP Workiva).
