Commercial Actuary Lifetime Mortgages

Were recruiting for a Commercial Actuary to join our dynamic Lifetime Mortgage Pricing Team here at L&G.

In this role you will support the commercial management of our Lifetime Mortgage business by delivering innovative solutions that create long-term value for our customers and stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of our Lifetime Mortgage business in a role where you can influence product development and commercial strategy across both UK and international markets.

This is a hybrid working opportunity which means you can split your working week flexibly between your home and our London office in Moorgate to help you achieve a work-life balance that works for you.

Please Note Whilst this role is advertised as a Full-Time position we would also consider more flexible working arrangements as well as Part-Time workers for this role.

What youll be doing:

• Collaborating with lenders to bring new product initiatives to market
• Supporting the development of retirement lending propositions across geographies
• Liaising with actuarial teams to align pricing strategies with business goals
• Ensuring Lifetime Mortgages are accurately reflected in financial reporting
• Optimising the performance of securitisation structures
• Monitoring regulatory developments and assessing their impact on propositions
• Contributing to product design conversations to better meet customer needs
• Embedding Treating Customers Fairly principles into processes and controls

Qualifications :

Who were looking for:

• Qualified actuary (FIA/FFA or equivalent) with relevant life office or consultancy experience
• Strong understanding of actuarial techniques and regulatory frameworks (e.g. Solvency II)
• Commercial and/or pricing experience ideally within Lifetime Mortgages or product development
• Excellent analytical and judgement skills with a commercial mindset
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to a range of stakeholders
• Flexible and adaptable approach to change and innovation
• Commitment to delivering good customer outcomes
• Collaborative team player with a drive for achievement and continuous improvement
