What youll do
- Preparation and submission of estimates and tender costings.
- Measurement and valuation of main and subcontract works (including take-offs).
- Drafting negotiating and administering subcontract agreements including procurement and payments.
- Preparation submission and agreement of interim and final accounts with full supporting documentation.
- Accurate commercial forecasting including CVRs margins and financial reports.
- Identification valuation and agreement of variations compensation events and claims.
- Advising project teams on commercial and contractual matters ensuring compliance with company procedures client requirements and industry standards.
- Supporting risk management and mitigation across projects.
- Driving continuous improvement and best practice in commercial processes.
Qualifications :
What youll bring
- Proven experience as QS ideally with highways civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- RICS membership is an advantage however training can be given.
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts (essential).
- Excellent analytical numerical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work confidently with clients contractors and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently collaboratively and under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Preferred degree in Quantity Surveying Commercial Management.
- Proficient in MS Office and relevant commercial management software.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
