Area Sales Manager (Full-Time)

Reports To: Sales Director (Ireland)

About the Role:
Our client a rapidly growing manufacturing and distribution company is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join their this remote-based role you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing accounts while identifying and developing new business opportunities within the designated territory.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a background in kitchen bathroom or furniture distribution who can demonstrate a proven track record of sales growth. You will be expected to work independently driving sales strategies and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Maintain and grow revenue from existing clients through strategic planning promotions displays and training.
  • New Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities with the support of the business development team.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong customer relationships ensuring commercial strategic and sales goals are met.
  • Sales Strategy: Use data to drive decisions around product sales cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
  • Budget Control: Manage and control expenditure including displays samples marketing materials and travel.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to enhance the customer experience and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Sales Targets: Meet or exceed financial and strategic targets for the assigned territory.
  • Reporting: Present results strategies and forecasts at regular sales meetings.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience: 5 years in a B2B sales environment ideally within the kitchen bathroom or furniture marketplace.
  • Account Management: Demonstrated experience in growing and managing accounts generating new business and key account management.
  • Sales Capability: Strong sales skills with a proven ability to upsell and meet customer expectations.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and PowerPoint and experience with CRM systems.
  • Self-Starter: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Personal Qualities: Well-presented reliable and confident with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
