5 weeks contract with a Local Authority
Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Finance & Admin Officer to provide administrative support within a Welfare Rights Service supporting individuals affected by cancer.
The successful candidate will join the Income Maximisation Unit and be responsible for handling a range of administrative tasks including appointment coordination case recording and statistical data compilation.
Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample):
Manage and coordinate customer appointments for Welfare Rights Officers.
Accurately record the outcomes of welfare rights consultations and maintain case files.
Compile and maintain statistical information and reports to support service monitoring and development.
Administer and process incoming referrals and documentation.
Provide general administrative support to the team as required.
Maintain confidentiality and data accuracy at all times.
Support the smooth running of the Macmillan-funded Income Maximisation Service.
Skills/Experience:
Previous experience in an administrative clerical or support role within a public sector welfare or healthcare setting.
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel Outlook).
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Experience working with statistical information or performance data is desirable.
A supportive and compassionate approach when dealing with vulnerable service users.
