Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Duck Creek Policy Business Analyst (BA) with 5 7 years of domain and technical expertise to join our dynamic insurance technology team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with the Duck Creek Policy platform excellent analytical skills and the ability to bridge the gap between business users and technical teams to deliver high-quality insurance solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather analyze and document business and system requirements related to Duck Creek Policy implementation or enhancement projects.

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams translating business needs into functional specifications.

  • Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for changes in business processes or system functionality.

  • Work closely with Duck Creek developers QA and configuration teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of project milestones.

  • Facilitate requirements workshops JAD sessions and design walkthroughs.

  • Create and maintain user stories use cases process flows and requirement traceability matrices.

  • Support testing teams in the development of test plans and test cases; participate in UAT and defect triaging.

  • Ensure the alignment of delivered solutions with business goals and compliance standards.

  • Provide training documentation and support to business users and internal stakeholders.

  • Monitor and report on project progress risks and issues.


Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5 to 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain.

  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with the Duck Creek Policy platform.

  • Strong understanding of insurance product configuration rating rules forms and workflows in Duck Creek.

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall project methodologies.

  • Excellent skills in business process modeling requirement elicitation and stakeholder communication.

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and ability to analyze and interpret data for decision-making.

  • Experience using tools like JIRA Confluence Visio and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Familiarity with integration approaches (web services APIs) and Duck Creek architecture is a plus.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Duck Creek certification(s) (Policy Author BA Track etc.)

  • Experience in policy administration system migration or legacy system transformation projects.

  • Knowledge of ISO-based products and regulatory compliance in P&C insurance.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.



Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills Must have experience in working with client technical team directly Must have experience in Agile Scrum way of implementing project Must have experience in working with clients from US / Europe / Canada Mandatory Technical Skills (Min 5 yrs experience): 1) Java 17, Docker, SQL queries, Jenkins, Ngnix+, working on projects hosted in Linux environment, Apache Maven 2) Must have experience in developing projects built on microservice architecture Good to have skills (Min 1-2 yrs experience): 1) Html, CSS, Javascript, Apache HazelCast
