Principal Network Engineer

About the Job

The MCM Network team is growing in size to cater to the requirements of Office/Data Center implementations support and standardization with a focus on reduced MTTR (mean time to resolution) through domain expertise and design review to enable speed to market and revenue growth. Key dedicated personnel with a high work ethic and work-smart attitude are sought to change the landscape of MCM network operations.

The role of the Sr. Network Engineer is to ensure the stability integrity and operation of network infrastructure. This includes planning developing installing configuring maintaining supporting and optimizing all network hardware software communication links. Responsibilities include:

• Design and manage security solutions including firewall and network intrusion detection systems.
• Ensure network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
• Recommend schedule and perform network improvements upgrades and repairs.
• Analyze and resolve communication problems between the MCM data centers and offices in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Manage network hardware and equipment including routers switches firewalls and Load Balancers.
• Design and implement all equipment hardware and software upgrades.
• Recommend and manage network monitoring tools.
• Design and maintain network access permissions and access rights.
• Participate in the planning and execution of security audits.
• Develop and implement applications and tools to improve the operational efficiency of the company.
• Developing metrics and reports for managing network connectivity.
• Collect and analyze data that is necessary for stability and improved performance.
• Prepare and maintain system level documentation and training material where appropriate.
• Ensure that the appropriate monitoring and management tools are in place including procurement and in house development of specialized tools as necessary.

Required

• Palo Alto firewalls is required
• Experience with ISE
• Experience deploying maintaining and troubleshooting Cisco switches Cisco routers Cisco &
• 7 years experience in a similar role
• Ability to operate on a follow-the-sun model on a shift basis as required on call and late/weekend work expected
• Experience with ServiceNow and SolarWinds is required
• Bachelors degree in relevant field

Preferred

• SDWAN experience is highly desired
• Cisco CCIE or CCNP certification
• Meraki experience preferred
• Masters or advanced degree in relevant field
