Job Description
The Therapeutic Assistant with the Childrens Day treatment program reports to the Program Manager. Under the direction of an independently licensed clinician/program manager the Therapeutic Assistant is responsible for providing behavioral health care as directed by the multi-disciplinary treatment plan. The therapeutic assistant uses positive behavioral interventions to help ensure safety in the day treatment program. The therapeutic assistant will use behavioral modification interventions to support students one on one as well as assist the licensed clinicians and teaching staff in management of the milieu.
Additional Job Description
Bachelors degree in HumanServices or closely related field or high school diploma and 1 year of experience in behavioral health or related healthcare required. Certification in Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required Certification in de-escalation training within the orientation period for employment and annually thereafter and biannually for BLS.
