Job Summary
Power/mation has an immediate opening for a Mechanical CAD Drafter to support our Engineering and Sales teams by producing accurate high-quality technical drawings and documentation. This role is essential to ensuring our solutions are delivered with accuracy and efficiency to our production and customers.

Drafting & Design Support
- Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for mechanical electrical fencing and automation projects
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure drawings meet technical and customer requirements
- Translate concepts sketches and specifications into production-ready designs
- See your drawings come to life via in-house production
Documentation & Standards
- Maintain drawing libraries and ensure version control across projects
- Prepare bills of materials (BOMs) layout diagrams and assembly instructions
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and industry regulations
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with sales engineering and operations to support quoting prototyping and production
- Participate in design reviews with internal personnel and customers
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Communicate effectively with production vendors and customers when needed to clarify design intent
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates degree or technical certification in drafting engineering technology or related field
- 2 years of experience in CAD drafting (AutoCAD IronCAD SolidWorks or similar platforms)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and mechanical/electrical components
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Detail oriented and deadline driven
