Description

This position maintains facilities and grounds for Camp Ridgecrest and assists with Camp Crestridge with a focus on minor projects and preventative maintenance.


Responsibilities

Perform maintenance tasks in plumbing carpentry electrical painting and grounds care.

Complete routine preventative maintenance.

Assist with coordinating and planning maintenance projects.

Evaluate maintenance needs and recommend action plans.

Maintain accurate preventative maintenance records.

Keep maintenance areas clean safe and organized.

Select and coordinate outsourced suppliers and service providers.

Supervises property intern

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Maintenance related experience (2 year minimum)
  • Carpentry skills
  • Painting skills
  • Mechanical skills
  • Written and verbal communication
  • Budget management skills
  • Knowledge of safety precautions system and codes
  • Plumbing skills
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Committed growing follower of Jesus

Education Work Experience and Other Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Maintenance related experience (2 year minimum)
  • Carpentry plumbing electrical landscaping and mechanical experience

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Ability to lift 70 lbs
  • Repetitively lift up to 50 lbs with a range from floor level to above shoulder height
  • Walking and standing on concrete floors for a period of up to two hours
  • Free range of motion including twisting bending stooping and climbing on step ladders
  • Must possess the ability to use hand and power tools normal vision hearing and sense of smell

This positions work schedule (days of week and hours) may vary slightly throughout the year based on camps operational schedules and rarely could at times include night/weekend work. Subject to after-hours calls because of maintenance knowledge.
