Job Summary:
As an Operations Specialist on the Commercial Underwriting Team you will play a vital role in supporting day-to-day operational efficiency by overseeing the workflow and performance of our BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) team. This role ensures timely and accurate task assignment monitors service levels and maintains streamlined operational processes. The Operations Associate also handles reconciliation duties identifies process gaps and steps in to complete any tasks that fall outside the scope of the BPO team.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and ensure the BPO team adheres to agreed service level standards.
Assign operational and administrative tasks to the BPO team in an organized and timely manner.
Conduct digital carrier reconciliations to ensure accuracy between systems.
Complete any tasks the BPO team is unable to perform based on notations or process complexity.
Continuously review assess and modify processes to support BPO efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure handoffs to the BPO team are clear consistent and effective.
Identify workflow or process issues and escalate or resolve as needed.
Maintain documentation of task procedures and process changes.
Monitor and maintain data integrity across underwriting systems ensuring information is complete current and compliant with company standards
Coordinate with carriers agents and internal teams to gather required documentation and resolve outstanding issues
Track and manage submission flow to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) and deadlines are met
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of operational workflows and process improvements
Ensure compliance with regulatory and carrier-specific requirements throughout the policy lifecycle
Identify and escalate any system or process issues to the appropriate teams for resolution
Contribute to cross-functional initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency accuracy and client satisfaction
Assist with various operational processes and needs
Requirements:
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under tight deadlines
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry documentation and communication
Proven ability to work independently while maintaining a team-first mindset
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in insurance business or a related field
