As a CoStar Senior Software Engineer on the Platform Development team you will play a key role in expanding the data platform that supports all of CoStar Groups largest brands including CoStar Suite LoopNet and . You will deeply understand what drives the business for which you are building software. We firmly believe that what separates a good developer from a great one is a deep understanding of the business that they are supporting.
This position is located in Arlington VA. and is in office Monday Thursday with work from home on Friday.
Responsibilities
- Build large distributed API-driven systems accessed by millions of users each month
- Produce bullet-proof code that is robust efficient and maintainable; our primary tools are C# .NET FrameworkSQL Server AWS
- Lead software design sessions promote adoption of development patterns perform code reviews
- Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities trends and best practices that can be leveraged to strengthen CoStars technology platform and development practices
- Knowledge-sharing and mentoring of more junior-level team members
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree required from an accredited not for profit university or college.
- A track record of delivering long-term impact to prior employers.
- 5years experiencein C# .NET Framework
- Working knowledge and hands-on experiencewith cloud-basedplatforms (AWS or Azure)
- Experience with RESTful web servicesand MVC/WebAPI
- Experience in architecting designing and building large scale distributed service-oriented systems and Web applications in an agile environment
- Relational database schema design
- Strong communication skills; the ability to convey technical jargon to both business and technical partners
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- SQL and database development knowledge
- Familiarity withAWSPaaSservices such as Lambda DynamoDB andSQS
- Data modeling experience from conceptual logical and physical designs
